Thirty Years of Production Credits
For over 30 years, Vectar Project has served as the backbone for world-class storytelling. From major motion pictures and primetime television to global commercial campaigns and iconic music videos, our floors have hosted the industry’s most ambitious visions.
We are proud to have collaborated with the world’s leading directors, brands, and production houses, providing the space, tech, and expertise required for high-stakes production. Below is a legacy of the clients and projects that have defined our journey.
Kaiser chiefs - jurassic park Jeep
Vectar Project Studio 1 was ideal for the Kaiser Chiefs greenscreen shoot.
The production utilised our soundproofed studio with flexible greenscreen facilities and, crucially, used our loading bay vehicle access for easy loading and unloading of kit.
The overhead pantograph system enabled rapid rigging of the 20x20 diffusion, an absolute must for car shoots on greenscreen.
Pup school
At Vectar Project, we were proud to host Pup School in our Studio 1.
The production chose this space for its high ceilings, which allowed sets to be built on raised platforms—perfect for puppeteers to work comfortably standing beneath the action.
Our large infinity cyc was another advantage, easily transformed into a bright blue sky for exterior scenes and giving the show a vivid, open look.
With our overhead lighting rig, the crew could quickly adapt between scenes, ensuring smooth shooting days and consistent visual quality. Studio 1’s flexibility and scale made it the ideal home for Pup School’s creative, puppet-driven world.
The world according to grandpa
The Vectar Project was home to the award-winning “The World According to Grandpa” starring Sally Lindsay and Don Warrington.
Both Series 1 and Series 2 were shot in our Main Sound Stage and utilized our carbon neutral lighting array and evenly-lit greenscreen for easier compositing in post.
The show featured a puppet named Halifax, who appears in just about every scene, so it was important the puppeteers had a comfortable dressing room to rest after being in shot for such long durations.
We also supplied an additional office space for the many child actors that feature in Grandpa, as they needed a quiet area away from the set to study with their tutor.
the reckoning
A 4-part drama starring Steve Coogan as Jimmy Savile. For 17 weeks VECTAR became the London BBC Television centre, the Leeds home of Savile, and his mother’s home.
More than 20 different scenes were shot at VECTAR using both Studio 1 and Studio 2, as well as many of the corridors and behind the scenes studio support areas to tell the hellish story of Savile’s deception and crimes.
Several of the sets were created using VECTAR Sets® allowing considerable savings in time and money during the production schedule.
DRAWS OFF
Comedian Jenny Eclair hosts as amateur artists reveal their naked ambition in a life drawing class like no other, as they compete to win a cash prize. Five different artists will not just paint, but will strike a pose for their fellow artists.
Warburtons "Pride & Breadjudice”
A standout moment in our 30-year history, this high-production campaign starring Peter Kay transformed our studio into a Regency-era musical set. As the third installment of the iconic Warburtons Gold series, the shoot demanded massive technical coordination—combining intricate period set builds, a full dance ensemble, and the high-energy comedic timing of a national treasure. A perfect example of the scale and versatility Vectar Project offers for tier-one commercial campaigns.
